Eighteen years ago on August 1st I waited in my oldest brother’s kitchen. I was dressed in white lace and silk. I carried a bouquet in shaking hands and sweaty palms. I couldn’t believe that my dream was slowly becoming reality. I couldn’t believe that soon I would wear my lover’s ring. I stood in that kitchen and thought, something is going to happen and my dream will vanish.
Tomorrow they tell me I will become a published author. They say that my years of struggling will finally pay off and Untouched Places will become reality. Here I wait at my keyboard dreaming, hoping, worrying…until tomorrow.
